HSC introduces new version of SCX1200-3
Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes Co., Ltd. (HSC) announced the release of new version of SCX1200-3 crawler crane in July 2024. Updated version focus on offering increased safety and environmentally friendliness.

1. Enhanced Safety
The crane has a new moment limiter with the large 12.1-inch touchscreen display with an interface that will deliver a superior visibility. The display has an operator interface with new sensing for live readout of counter weight specification, ground contact pressure, list and trim indicator.
To ensure that workers can safely work on the crane, handrails on the catwalks have been standardized and each access to the machine has been improved.
2. Environmental friendliness
The crane is equipped with Cummins B6.7 engine that meets EU Stage V emission standards for the highest level of clean running performance, together with advanced control system (ECO winch mode, auto idle stop function) for energy-efficient operation. The engine can also run on biodiesel and other Bio Diesel Fuel (BDF; B20) or Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO).
3. Operator comfort in the cab
The operator seat comes with the seat heater and lower headrest caters to operators wearing helmets provide superior comfort. New insulating glass has been used for the roof window to shut out more than 90% of UV and mid-infrared light.
